Antti Utriainen is a Finnish pianist, organist, composer, arranger and producer whose work moves naturally between jazz, soul, rock and beyond.

Born in Espoo, Finland in 1976, Antti began studying classical piano at the age of seven before finding his way into jazz, rock and improvised music in his teens. He later graduated as a jazz pianist from the Degree Programme in Pop and Jazz Music in Helsinki. His musical background also includes studies in classical composition and the analysis of orchestral music.

As a composer, Antti works across a wide stylistic range, from jazz and rock to classically influenced music, often bringing elements from different musical traditions together.

Over the years, Antti has worked widely as a performing musician, bandleader, composer and arranger. His musical journey has included collaborations with artists and groups such as Jukka Tolonen Band and Niko Ahvonen & Tilanteen Herrat, alongside numerous other live, recording and production projects.

As a bandleader, he has released two albums under his own name: Antti Utriainen Trio (2010) and Antti Utriainen Expansion (2014). The Antti Utriainen Trio is active again with new music and a renewed line-up.

Alongside performing, Antti works increasingly as a music producer, arranger, recording musician and mixing engineer, often combining several of these roles within the same project. His work ranges from intimate jazz clubs and studio productions to theatre music, arrangements and music for film.

At the heart of it all is a curiosity for sound, groove, improvisation and the possibilities that emerge when different musical worlds meet.
